Qatar Airways Announces Increased Flight Frequencies Across Key Destinations

Qatar Airways has unveiled plans to enhance flight schedules to several important destinations in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East throughout this year.

London Heathrow Service Expansion

The airline has introduced an additional daily flight between Doha and London Heathrow, increasing its weekly flight count from 49 to 56. This expansion follows the airline’s acquisition of slots from Romanian carrier TAROM.

Tokyo and Amsterdam Schedule Boosts

Qatar Airways has also raised its Doha-Tokyo Narita service frequency from 11 to 14 weekly flights. Meanwhile, the Amsterdam route will see an increase from 7 to 11 weekly flights this year, with the route previously operating as frequently as twice daily over the winter months.

Madrid and Iberia Partnership Growth

The airline’s Doha-Madrid route has expanded from 14 to 17 weekly flights. Additionally, its joint service with Iberia has grown to a total of 24 weekly flights.

Several other routes have also seen significant frequency increases:

Berlin Flight Schedule Enhancements

Starting on July 10, Qatar Airways will increase its Doha-Berlin service from 18 to 21 weekly flights.

Upcoming Routes to Bogotá and Caracas

Looking ahead, Qatar Airways plans to launch flights to Bogotá and Caracas in early summer 2025, although the exact schedules are still pending.

Rivals’ Expansion Plans

Meanwhile, fellow Middle Eastern carriers Emirates and Etihad Airways are also boosting their operations. Emirates has unveiled new routes to Shenzhen, Da Nang, and Siem Reap, while Etihad plans to introduce flights to 10 new destinations in 2025.
